FIRST BRUSH
The Fundamentals of Oil Painting
The objective of this workshop is to teach the basic elements involved in oil painting, namely drawing, values, and color. These elements will be demonstrated in a step-by-step fashion with simple exercises, followed directly by hands-on effort by the student. The curriculum is aimed at artists with limited experience, although intermediate painters should benefit from a refresher of the basics. All materials and equipment are included. Each workshop is limited to 6 students and is held at the instructor’s studio.

CONQUERING COMPOSITION
Intermediate Oil Painting
Creating
really good compositions for still life and landscape paintings is the aim of this workshop. Students will set up still lifes and analyze and adjust reference photos to start their paintings on solid foundation. Limited to 4 students, the instructor will provide plenty of personal attention throughout the painting process. Students will use their own equipment and supplies, except for table easels, if needed. The workshop is held at the instructor’s studio.
